The ending is just so abrupt and incomplete. Now this isn't all that surprising, as MANY of the silents have completely vanished over the years due to disintegrating nitrate film stock. We are lucky we have as much of this film as we do.The idea of \"A Pool Plunge\" is very clever. A guy is persuaded to play a game of pool against some sharpies who are planning on fleecing him. However, a little man who is in the man's pocket jumps out and makes the balls do amazing things. The problem is that the integration of this animated man into the film isn't all that good and other animated shorts of the day did this much better. The 'Alice' series by Disney is much better in this regard as is the 'Out of the Inkwell' series by the Fleischers. Also, the plot apparently is irrelevant, as the little man helps the guy and then hurts him--like the jokes were more important than the story.
